HARLEY-DAVIDSON

Harley-Davidson, founded in 1903, has grown into a globally recognized brand with nearly 1,500 dealerships worldwide. I’ve had the opportunity to design for one of Harley-Davidson’s official licensees, Global Products, which distributed both stock and custom products to these international locations.

My work includes product design, label and packaging design, model and product photography, and original artwork—all tailored to reflect the brand’s iconic aesthetic and regional preferences. Harley-Davidson is an iconic brand that must keep its integrity throughout every request and design.

Throughout the year, our team juggled multiple responsibilities:

  • R&D for future product lines

  • Reviewing pre-production samples

  • Preparing current lines for tradeshows

  • Photographing and editing product photos for catalogs

  • Fulfilling custom design requests from dealerships around the world

This role requires both creative vision and adaptability, balancing brand consistency with the unique needs of each market.

Product Line Releases

Across multiple seasonal releases, I created a variety of products that pushed beyond traditional materials—exploring unique textures and finishes that stood out in customer collections.

Some designs were versatile enough to translate across multiple product types, while others were developed exclusively for single, standout items—each crafted with attention to form, function, and brand alignment.

Collection Work

Toward the end of my time at Global Products, we introduced seasonal collections to streamline design workflows and production timelines. This shift allowed for more efficient development cycles, stronger visual cohesion when placed in dealerships, and improved pre-production quality control—enhancing both creative output and operational consistency.

Custom Dealership Artwork

Custom artwork spanned a wide range of products—each with unique substrates and production requirements. Designing across materials meant adapting artwork for everything from apparel to metals, glass, stickers and molded goods.

One of the most complex projects involved designing custom pins. These often required explaining 3D layering and dimensional effects to overseas factories, particularly in China, where precise communication was key to maintaining design integrity through production.
